11-time Olympic medalist Natalie Coughlin has partnered with Pantene as their new U.S. brand ambassador, a role that will combine her dedication to a healthy lifestyle and her position as an inspiration to women. Coughlin will be featured prominently in all aspects of the brand’s marketing campaign, including TV and print advertising, in-store displays, digital and social media and a public relations campaign beginning in June 2012.
Phelps & Ohno Land in Power 100 Again in 2012
With 24 Olympic medals between them, Michael Phelps and Apolo Ohno have become two of the most powerful athletes in sports, both domestically and internationally. For their performance, fan affinity ratings and advertising influence, the duo made Bloomberg/BusinessWeek’s Power 100 for 2012. The honor is the third straight for Phelps and second straight for Ohno.
Clark & Holland Win Gold, Teter Grabs Bronze at Winter X
Snowboarders Kelly Clark, Hannah Teter and Nate Holland all won medals at Winter X Games in Aspen, CO over the weekend. Clark won gold in women’s halfpipe for the second consecutive year, and the win marked the 13th consecutive victory for her. Teter picked up bronze, finishing just behind Clark in the halfpipe for her sixth career X Games medal. Holland returned to the top step of the podium when he made a key pass in the last part of the course and charged to his sixth boardercross gold medal in the last seven years and his ninth X Games medal overall.

Teter’s PerfectaParty Raises Money for Children International
Hannah Teter celebrated her 25th birthday on Friday night with a party hosted by Clearasil PerfectaWash, Burton, Pantech, Sweet Cheeks and GoPro Cameras. After the women’s halfpipe concluded, some of the biggest stars of X Games including Teter and Kelly Clark hit the Sky Hotel for music by DJ Flosstradamus and beverages provided by Asahi Beer, UV Vodka and Revel Stoke Whiskey. The party raised over $1,000 in donations at the door for Children International, a charity that Teter actively supports.
Raisman’s London 2012 Preparation Featured in Boston Globe & Stack Media
World Champion gymnast Aly Raisman was featured by both the Boston Globe and Stack Media as she prepares to make her Olympic debut in London in less than six months. Raisman, who last year led Team USA to its first World Championships team gold medal since 2007, will be a leader in attempting to bring the women’s team its first Olympic team gold since the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta. A native of Needham, MA, Raisman is completing her senior year of high school online in preparation for London 2012, and will graduate on time with her class this spring.
Finchum & Northern Nights Release Cover of Adele’s Hit Song
Olympic diver Thomas Finchum has picked up a second profession as a musician, and in a matter of months has finished second in a regional singing competition, released a single on iTunes with his band, Northern Nights, and most recently released a cover of Adele’s hit song “Someone Like You” with one of his band mates.
